Every medical alert system does virtually the same thing – in the event of a medical emergency, a senior presses a button and a medically-trained operator comes on to assess the situation. Most systems have one thing that differentiates itself from its competitors. And that is the case with Advantage Alert.
The base unit on Advantage Alert’s system has a second button, a “nurse” button. This unique feature allows people to talk to a nurse if they aren’t feeling well but do not think it rises to the level of a medical emergency. If it is indeed an emergency, the nurse will call for an ambulance.
Advantage Alert has some unique qualities that will keep you safe in your time of need.
Monitoring Services
Advantage Alert's system has some unique qualities such as button to contact a nurse in case of medical issue that's not threatening enough to contact an emergency medical technician or EMT.
- No activation, installation or equipment costs
- Dedicated Response Center
- Certified by the Security Industry Associations (SIA)
- 24/7 Emergency and Non-Emergency Monitoring
Contracts
The system worked as advertised (except for the nurse button which did not work out of the box in our test). The emergency nurse help button feature seems to be a good one, however, you will need to check with Advantage Alert on how that is to be installed. The beeping during the call can be a drawback and the pendant is a little large in size. However, we really liked the free lock box and the base unit itself. It felt substantial.
